Driven to Perform - June 12th

Driven to Perform is back in the Oval, the name is now Driven as their title sponsor changed from Toyo tires to Falken.

It's June 12th, and will be exactly the same setup as previous years.
Since we've sold and shipped out our carpet, and the oval floor isn't good for much other than drifting, I've invited Karz to join us and they'll be bringing their carpet.

I'll be meeting with Brad next week and we'll figure out the best combination of classes, which timing system to use, etc. We want everyone from Karz to feel welcome, and it's a great promo event for RC in Calgary!

So, more details to come, but mark off that date and come down and have some fun.

The rules for entry are a little more strict this year, and if you want to avoid paying the entry fee, we need your name ahead of time. It goes on the Car Car sheet and then you'll get in free. We don't pay anything for the names, so it's better to have your name on even if you're not sure if you can make it or not, rather than show up, and have to pay the gate fee to get in.

There will be lots of classes, of course the normal Car Car classes, plus we're going to run some of the popular Karz classes (VTA, F1, etc). The exact class structure will be worked out over the next week or so.

Because of the nature of the show, there will definitely be a separate drift track. We used to roll out the full 100' of Car Car carpet, but since the Karz carpet is 80' long we'll fill up the rest of the space with a nice sized drift track.

GET WORKING ON THOSE BEAUTIFUL DRIFT BODIES!!!

As in years before, the Oval charges us for power, etc, so there will be the normal $10 race fee, but that includes free entry into the show.
